Indict Mahmoud Ahmadinejad

The World Council of Churches has enthusiastically embraced The Kairos Palestine Document. It is a diatribe replete with Israel-bashing, false accusations, and misleading information which actually legitimizes Palestinian terrorism against Israel. As stated by Nora Carmi, of the Ecumenical Liberation Theology Centre in Jerusalem, the message "is simple: Israel's unending occupancy is a sin against God." Terms such as "apartheid" and "war crimes" are carelessly bandied about in order to demonize and delegitimize the Middle East's only democracy, with no condemnation of terrorism against the State of Israel.





With too many countries and religious groups questioning the very existence of Israel, it is heartening to see the genuine concern that the Christians United for Israel (CUFI) display in their consistent work to ensure Israel's survival.





Please view the video recently put out by CUFI that features Malcolm Hoenlein, Pastor John Hagee, Elie Wiesel, Senator Joseph Lieberman, and Alan Dershowitz as they urge viewers to sign a petition that calls for the indictment of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on the charge of incitement to genocide.





According to the International Military Tribunal, which formally opened in Nuremberg, Germany six months after the surrender of Germany in 1945, "direct and public incitement to commit genocide" is a crime. Ahmadinejad continually calls for the extermination of Israel; he yearns for the ability to wipe Israel off the face of the earth, and daily he comes closer to this reality.





A small sampling of his own words clearly shows Ahmadinejad's rabid hatred and desire to destroy Israel. He has stated the following:

•"The Islamic world will not let its historic enemy live in its heartland" (2005).

•"Anybody who recognizes Israel will burn in the fire of the Islamic nation's fury, [while] any [Islamic leader] who recognizes the Zionist regime means he is acknowledging the surrender and defeat of the Islamic world" (2005).

•"Some European countries insist on saying that Hitler killed millions of innocent Jews in furnaces ... [a]lthough we don't accept this claim ... [if] the Europeans are honest they should give some of their provinces in Europe -- like in Germany, Austria or other countries to the Zionists and the Zionists can establish their state in Europe" (2005).

•"They have created a myth in the name of the Holocaust. ..." (2005).

•"The real cure for the conflict is elimination of the Zionist regime" (2006).

•"Today the Iranian nation's [nuclear] strength is ten times stronger than it was last year at the beginning of this glorious path" (2006).

•"Israel is destined for destruction and will soon disappear" (2006).

•" ... the United States and the Zionist regime of Israel will soon come to the end of their lives" (2007).

•"Zionists are the true incarnation of Satan" (2007).

•"The [Iranian] nation seeks peace and security all over the world and wants to have relations with all nations and states except for the Zionist regime" (2007).

•"The Zionist regime is the flag bearer of violation and occupation and this regime is the flag of Satan ... [it] is not unlikely that this regime be on the path to dissolution and deterioration when the philosophy behind its creation and survival is invalid" (2007).

•"[The] creation of the Zionist regime, [and the] continuation of its existence ... are an insult to human dignity" (2007).

•"[The world powers] should not think that the Iranian nation and other nations in the region will take off their hands [from] the throat of the Zionists and their supporters" (2007).

•" ... Arab countries should be watchful in the face of the plots and deception of the Zionist enemy" (2007).

•"It is impossible that the Zionist regime will survive[.]" (2007)

•"I warn you to abandon the filthy Zionist entity that has reached the end of the line ... accept that the life of Zionists will sooner or later come to an end" (2008).

•"World powers have created a black and dirty microbe named the Zionist regime" (2008).

•"Today the reason for the Zionist regime's existence is questioned, and this regime is on its way to annihilation" (2008).

•"You should know that the criminal and terrorist Zionist regime which has 60 years of plundering, aggression and crimes in its file has reached the end of its work and will soon disappear off the geographical scene" (2008).

•"The Zionist regime is an artificial regime ... a fictitious regime" (2008).

•"Those who link their interests to the interests of the Zionists will go to hell" (2008).

•"Unlocking the chest of the Holocaust and re-examining it would be tantamount to cutting the vital arteries of the Zionist regime. It will destroy the philosophical foundation and raison d'être of this regime" (2009).

•"Don't be afraid of those Zionists. They are on the verge of death. Their time has passed[.]" (2009).





It is long overdue that this man be held accountable for his declarations against Israel.





While Israel must do everything within its power to defeat this enemy, the rest of the world should, at the very least, take a moral stand. Sign the petition.





Let "Never Again" be more than a hollow utterance after the fact.
